The Business of Sustainable Development: An African Forest Tale is the story of the colonial conquest of nature in Africa and recent movements by rural Africans to fully participate in the stewardship and fruits of their forests and lands. It is about the struggles of rural Africans to maintain control of their lives in the face of colonization and international development interventions. The story shows the ironies of colonial and neo-colonial attitudes. This book is based on over two decades of work in rural Africa by the Author. The story by Jesse Ribot and illustrated with Reverse Glass Paintings of Mor Gueye.
